I´d recommend this to people who appreciate extensive grand atmospheres. There´s some Agalloch in there mixed with Cult Of Luna and Isis, if you want band references. Promising debut! 7/10.
These two ladies and one gentleman continue to throw one catchy hook after another throughout the entire album backed by carefully thought out songwriting and a raw production.
Filled with heavy riffs from start to end, this is one unconventional release that you should definitely check out.
Overall, “Hereafter” is one of those releases that are very well crafted and present so many influences, taking more than a few spins to fully digest them.
By track three we have already involuntarily shot the horns at least once and, should they play in the UK, we fully intend turning the mosh pit into an altar of sacrifice to these two girls and a guy. It’s heavy as a bag of anvils, but more than anything else, it just rocks. Hard.
Formed in 2011 -yeah, amazing- and already giving Daylight Dies and Novembers Doom heavy pressure, it’s no wonder debut EP The Wither Fields landed on my digital desk.
“In short: [By The Patient’s] Premonitions is Scandinavian death metal at its finest, and certainly one of the best and most mature death metal albums to come out of Denmark for a long time.” 8/10
